- Trading desk
The Altura Markets trading desk has professionals with substantial experience in the market who also collaborate with the rest of the teams at Newedge. This partnership provides us with a privileged point of view on issues and news relevant to the market and allows us to deliver this “market intelligence” to our clients.
The Altura Markets desk operates from 7:45 to 22:30, is multilingual and is divided into teams so as to specialise in different underlying assets, interest rates, equities and commodities. But the teams work as a single execution centre when the market situation calls for it. This way we achieve the best possible execution for our clients, with a management quality superior to that of our competitors.
This distinguishing feature of working together with the rest of Newedge in Europe, allows us to gain access to the most important liquidity pools, necessary to reduce slippage to a minimum.
The absence of trading books at Altura Markets and Newedge removes any chances of conflicts of interest arising and allows us to place our clients’ interests first. In addition, all operations with our counterparties are confidential.
The Altura Markets trading desk has a Top Day (Middle Office) team exclusively dedicated to processing orders once they have been executed in the market. The proper assignment of operations and follow up ensuring that all of them are cleared according to clients’ instructions is the main goal of Top Day team. The minimisation of operational issues allows our clients to avoid errors and save resources.

Our e-trading solutions form a different line of business within our group with more than 75 individuals working in this area worldwide.
Our support branches are in Paris, London and Chicago and cover a 24-hour service, 5 days a week.
Altura Markets offers access to over 85 global listed derivatives, cash equity and forex markets. Thanks to our cooperation with a variety of providers and a sound Fix structure, Altura Markets gives its clients access through many systems. These include GL Win, GL Brokernet, ORC, Trading Technologies, CQG, RTS, Flextrade, TradingScreen, Inforeach, Portware and several OMS (Order Management Systems).
Altura Markets includes in its e-trading architecture back-up connections so there is minimum downtime in case of a system failure.
